Juan Massens currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of UCAP Securities, LLC and UCAP Asset Management, LLC, where he will focus in supporting Executive Management, Registered Reps and Financial Advisors, improving operational workflows, customer service and strengthening the first line of defense. Juan has over 28 years of experience in the Financial Services sector with a focus on the Broker Dealer business in the U.S. as well as Offshore Private Banking. Prior to joining UCAP, Juan was Managing Director at EFG Bank and Trust (Bahamas) Ltd from 2018-2021 where he was responsible for overall management and supervision of the Bank. Juan’s responsibility in the Caribbean extended to Cayman where he served as Managing Director of EFG Bank Cayman Branch and EFG Wealth Management. Juan served on several Boards on the Bank and Wealth Management entities. From 1996-2018, Juan worked at EFG Capital International Corp., a US Broker Dealer, where he served in various roles including COO, CCO, AMLCO and CFO. Juan has vast regulatory and operational experience, gained as a result of his career at EFG. Juan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from the University of Miami. Juan also holds the ACAMS as well as the FINRA Wharton CRCP certification.
